With the increase in the U.S. immigration in the recent years, the number of immigrants and their families needing social services has risen dramatically. Assisting the new immigrants and their families to adjust to their new host environment has been a challenge to social work professionals. This course takes an ecosystems perspective on working with the immigrant family, paying special attention to the interactions between and amongst family members and their social environment.
