Description:
This second course in digital electronics includes a thorough review of basic digital concepts- combinatorial and sequential logic, and memory devices. The fundamentals of programmable logic devices (PLDs) are introduced through the use of a CAD software that provides a design suite for programming a field programmable gate array (FPGA). Labs emphasize a combination of skills- analysis, prototyping, troubleshooting, design, simulation, and programming digital circuits. Offered fall semester only. Additional course fees $25.00
