Description:
This course provides a hands-on introduction to methods, techniques and aesthetics of sculpture. Students will be guided through a series of projects using a variety of traditional sculptural media such as wood, plaster, stone, metal, plastic,?and?new technologies with digital methods that aid in the creation of sculpture such as 3D printing, laser cutting/engraving, and CNC machining. Students?will develop technical, perceptual, and analytical skills, which will be?emphasized along with an understanding of historical and contemporary sculpture practices.
