Requires systematically planned observations and applications of skills in a variety of clinical settings including routine patient care areas and intensive care units. Skills include routine respiratory care procedures such as oxygen delivery, aerosolization of bronchoactive medications, postural drainage and chest physical therapy, incentive spirometry airway manage-ment, suctioning, electrocardio-graphy, venipuncture and arterial blood gas acquisition. Activities will performance of skills mastered in Respiratory 100, 101, 102, and 103. Prerequisites: RESP 103 with a grade of C or better and other first year prerequisites. Additional course fee: $132.
