This course is a continuation of the study of the theory, practice and techniques of the clinical components of medical assisting. Emphasis will be placed on specimen collection and handling, sterilization techniques, nutrition, introduction to clinical laboratory equipment, tests and procedures used by clinicians for the diagnosis, evaluation and treatment of disease. Prerequisites: MA 115, BIO 110. Additional course fee: $132.
