This course reviews the five functions of management (planning, organizing, staffing, leading/motivating, and controlling) and the history of the development of management theory. It coers in detail the subset concepts and theories associated with the functions. The course explains the unersality of managment theory in its application within commercial, not-for-profit, governmental and other organizational settings. It covers management in its global applications as well as its involvement with organizational ethics and organizational social responsibility.
