Discussion will include basic principles, terminology, charting and practice of dental hygiene, prevention and dental health education. Students will develop manual skills necessary for instrumentations while performing preventive and therapeutic services. Legal, ethical and management aspects of total patient care will be discusssed. Theory is used to provide a foundation for the practice of procedures during clinical experiences.
