Description:
This course introduces students to dental auxiliary practices, including the theory, principles and practices of dentistry. A brief overview of the history of dentistry is provided. Students also learn about the specialty areas in dentistry and the use of dental materials. The dental spec- ialties discussed include Orthodontics, Restorative and Cos- metic Dentistry, Periodontics, Pedodontics, Oral and Maxillo facial Surgery, Prosthodontics and Endodontics. Students are given the opportunity to develop and practice clerical, chair-side and laboratory skills.
