Description:

This is the first of two practicum courses. Students will spend twelve hours per week in a field placement related to their area of interest for the purpose of learning to work directly with clients. In addition, students will meet in groups for two hours every other week for the purpose of discussing field placement and making presentations related to clients and agency. When needed, students may also meet individually with the faculty supervisor. Special emphasis will be placed on assisting students to apply their understanding of helping to their practicum experience.
