Description:
This multidisciplinary course, which offers a wide-ranging lecture series supported by laboratory experiences, is designed to expose students not enrolled in science curricula to the scientific method and the application of science and technology to modern life. Basic knowledge from several fields of science and technology is introduced. These fields include astronomy, biology, ecology, chemistry and physics. The course also pays attention to ways in which science has affected society and how public attitudes and policies affect the pursuit of scientific knowledge. Student preparedness for FNMT 118.
