Surveys the history and stylistic development of art forms from the European Renaissance to the Modern art of the twentieth century, including some non-western cultures. The course will focus on art concepts and media, as well as the socio-political and religious developments, which effect important artistic changes. At lease one field trip to an art museum is included.
