This is a course in contemporary mathematics for liberal arts and other majors that do not require a higher level course in mathematics. Students improve critical thinking and problem solving skills through application of basic mathematical concepts. Students learn basic set operations, elementary logic, numeration systems, elementary geometry, counting techniques, and elementary probability and statistics.
