Description:
This course provides students with the theoretical and practical basis to properly select and utilize instrumentation and techniques for assessing physical fitness and prescribing exercise based on a subject's tolerance for physical activity. Students practice, analyze and validate field tests through laboratory experiences by discussing results. Special emphasis is given to risk factors, injuries, environmental factors, motivation and their role in the physical conditioning of various populations.
