Description:
Advanced theory and practical application are combined to advance the technical skills of the cardiac student who has taken Cardiac Ultrasound. Students explore abnormal cardiac anatomy and physiology and correlate M-mode, two-dimensional, continuous wave, pulsed wave and color flow Doppler with pathologies. Echocardiographic case studies are presented and correlated with clinical features of cardiac pathology. Cardiac surgical procedures and pharmacology are covered. This course requires a per credit health career fee; check the tuition and fee schedule for the current rate.
