This course is designed for students in teacher education. It is intended to provide a thorough knowledge of the concepts of problem solving, set theory, number theory, and the theory of arithmetic. Completion of both MATH 182 and 183 with a grade of B or higher satisfies the Pennsylvania Department of Education Basic Skills test requirement for Mathematics for pre-service teaching candidates.
