Description:
This coeducational course meets four hours a week and satisfies transfer requirements for the student majoring in physical education. Content includes an introduction to elementary tumbling, vaulting, and apparatus skills and routines. The course requires performance of specific skills, as well as compulsory routines on appropriate apparatus. Emphasis is on safe class participation to improve the student’s opportunity for successful performance. The lifetime benefits that accrue to an individual who becomes and remains physically active are explained in detail.
