Description:
A survey of chemical principles and concepts. The nature of chemical reactions as applied to technology and its applica- tions to society. The world of consumer chemistry will be explored. The goal is to develop a chemical literacy for the student. A series of laboratory exercises develops concept understanding and process skills. Some individual and group projects will be included. Does not fulfill the Liberal Studies requirement except for Elementary and Early Childhood Education majors.
