Description:

Experience under the direct supervision of a clinical instructor for an average of twenty-four hours per week for fifteen weeks. Topics include neonatal and pediatric respiratory care, intubation, and management. A research project is required for presentation and publication. Clinical experience includes observation, patient rounds, clinical simulations, and practical work situations. An educational in-service talk is developed and presented by the student to the clinical staff. Enrollment is limited to students in the Respiratory Therapist program. Liability insurance is required. Prerequisites: RESP 235, 260, and 270 with grades of C or higher.
