Description:
Introduces students to the statistics used in the behavioral sciences; specifically the use of descriptive and inferential statistical tests. Students learn to analyze both by hand and by using Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS). Basic research design is introduced as it applies to data analysis. Students conduct simple projects in order to gain experience applying the various statistical tests. A course fee is required. Prerequisite: PSYC 101 with a grade of C or higher, and eligibility for enrollment in MATH 103.
