Description:
An introduction to Physics and Chemistry for the non-science major. Students develop problem-solving skills and an understanding of the scientific method via an introduction to mechanics, waves, electricity and magnetism, nuclear/atomic physics, chemical elements, chemical bonding and reactions, and organic chemistry. Practical applications of scientific concepts in business and education are emphasized. A course fee is required. Prerequisite: MATH 020 or MATH 033 (or MATH 051) with a grade of C or higher.
