This course outlines the organization and jurisdiction of federal and state courts; introduces legal terminology, ethics and research discusses the role that the paralegal plays within the profession, as well as their responsibilities to lawyers; and surveys the general law areas, including torts, criminal law, property law, family law, business organizations, and estate law.
