Introduces the techniques of preparing, dispensing and administering medication. Special focus is on dosage calculation, patient education, and medication error reduction. Emphasis is placed on the most commonly prescribed medications. A course fee is required. Enrollment is restricted to students in the Medical Assisting Certificate program. Pre or Corequisite: MA 200 with a grade of C or higher.
