Description:
Provides the student with the fundamentals and technical knowledge needed for conducting proper fire scene investigations. This course specifically addresses "origin" and "cause" recognition, preserving evidence, documentation, scene security, determining the motives of the fire setter, and the types of fire causes. Enrollment is restricted to students in the Fire Science Technology AAS. Prerequisite: FIRE 101; ENGL 101, and 102 or 104 with grades of C or higher. Corequisite: ENGL 102 or 104.
