An introduction to elementary algebra that provides basic principles, concepts and techniques that are necessary for student success in higher level mathematics courses. Content material includes integers, operations with rational expressions, positive and negative exponents, factoring the solution of first and second degree equations, and word problems. Designed for students with little or no algebra background. Developmental courses may not be used to fulfill degree requirements.
