This course is designed to provide training in the testing and troubleshooting of fiber optic systems. Topics include repetitive testing of single-mode fiber, multi-mode fiber, repetitive insertion loss tests on multiple links and repetitive testing with Optical Time Domain Reflectometry. Emphasis placed on testing and troubleshooting, measuring signal quality and reflectance testing. This course is designed to prepare for the Fiber Optic Specialist/Testing certification.
