Description:
The student will explore Painting with an increased level of production, critique, history and aesthetics. This course will provide the student with a moderate level of fine art studio painting. Students will explore how to work with the fine art medium of paint through process and production, including art history and discussion. Students will review fundamental technical and conceptual information necessary to further the creation of fine art pieces. Students will develop individual applications of painting with an increased level to critically analyze both individual and peer artwork. Through creative studio practice, students should develop the following emphasized artistic traits: ability to resist premature closure: sensitivity to problems: ability to synthesize.
