Through various critical lenses, this course analyzes the choreographic production of influential dance makers in a variety of geographic areas through the present day. This course is anchored on the term choreography and its multiple meanings, ranging from orchestrated movement performed on a proscenium stage to organized movements and actions of bodies in everyday life. This course is structured to permit the student to view dance through a variety of theoretical lenses.Students will be required to attend certain dance events for this course; some may require a fee.
