Credits: 7 This is the first part of a three-part program, which follows the National Registry Curriculum for training Advanced Life Support Technicians for practice under the direct supervision of a physician. Students are trained in advanced emergency care with emphasis on preparatory aspects of this field. Course work prepares the student for the clinical practicum which develops proficiency in those skills learned in the classroom. The practicum includes both clinical and field training in affiliated hospitals and advanced life support units. Prerequisite: EMS 101.
