Introduces jewelry and metals as a form of artistic expression. The student seeks creative solutions to visual problems while employing various metal working techniques and media. Emphasizes basic techniques of cutting, piercing, soldering, forging, forming and finishes of non-ferrous metals. Critical analysis and evaluation of jewelry and metal art are central to the course. For both art majors and non-art majors.
