Orbital and radiative transfer physics applied to satellite meteorology systems. Contemporary applications of satellite remote sensing of the atmosphere, including the retrieval of cloud microphysics and precipitation, the generation of atmospheric vertical profiles of temperature and moisture, the retrieval of wind, and image interpretation in the context of weather forecasting. 3 hrs. lec.
