A course designed to develop a keen sensitivity to the language of musical sounds through creating, performing, conducting music and listening with sensitive awareness. The use of a broad range of musical materials, active exploration and personal discovery will lead the student to grasp the nature of the interactions and relationships that bring meaning to music. Language of music is structured to provide the student with a means to developing greater awareness and accuracy in musical reading and hearing. Designed for students with little or no academic musical background.
