Description:
An introduction to drawing in a variety of media including charcoal, cont crayon, pencil, and ink. Students will draw a variety of subjects including still life, landscapes and life models. Emphasis will be placed on developing an understanding of developing line and tone, composition, gesture, anatomy, basic perspective, and other perceptual concepts. Studio work will be augmented by critiques, discussions, and demonstrations. Please note: This course requires working from the nude figure. Participation is required in all sessions working from a live, nude model. Please consult with your advisor to choose another Art course if you are unable to commit to paint/draw from a nude model, of either gender, for any reason. This course is subject to a course fee.
